Merry Meet

Wicca is a nature based religion and a way of life

We worship the divine in all living things,
and we celebrate the changing of the seasons through ritual.
We believe we are connected in Universal Oneness in all of our lifetimes.

We accept the Wiccan Way and live by the Rede.
We are located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Our Circle no longer exists. Azure is now a solitary practitioner. I have left this page up as information for those who are considering joining a group.

We are an eclectic group, incorporating some of the practices of many traditions. The energies within the group must be compatible and able to merge at will.  For this reason, we require much work from our members and only those who are seriously willing to make the necessary commitment are considered.

A desire to embrace the Wiccan religion also requires significant life changes, a basic rebirth of one's previous mindset to allow the Lady to find that open spot in your heart that has always been Hers from the beginning. Wicca cannot be bought, demanded, ordered through the mail, or compromised. It cannot be learned in a few months, nor is it dependent on an expensive arrray of tools, books, or ritual clothing.

My Personal Mission Statement

to heal Mother Earth
To honor the Lady and the Lord
To carry the voice of the goddess as far and as wide as I can
To be ever mindful of the Rede, harming none
To spread the wings of the Global Healing Circle over the universe
To replace ignorance and judgment with acceptance

FlameDancer Circle does not offer correspondence courses nor do we mail literature on our group.
We are a coven not a corporation, and as such, we do not need a marketing department.
If you are meant to communicate with us, you will.
Intelligent questions from sincere adults are always welcome.
Frivolous questions or requests from children will be ignored.
We will not respond to requests for spells.
We also refuse to comment on or refer to other groups in the area
even though they are known to us.  This is simply not ethical.

If your intent is to have power over others, or to simply cast spells and play with magick, a coven is not what you seek. Based on some of the email we have received, some of it humorous, some of it sad, some of it truly pathetic, we found the need to post the following for the misguided. We wish to dispel some of the myths about this beautiful religion.

Some Facts about Witchcraft:

Witches can shapeshift, but we do not change our hair color simply by snapping our fingers or twitching our noses.

We do use besoms in our rituals and we do fly, but we do not fly through the night sky on brooms.

We do not sacrifice babies, adults, animals, or chickens. We do include herbs in our rites with permission, and we do give something back to the donor.

We do not drink blood. We do however, drink mead, ale, and apple juice, the fruit of the goddess.

We do not make snakes come out of toilets and faucets, nor do we cause whales to beach themselves. Some of us do support Greenpeace and other environmental wildlife preservation groups.

Although all acts of pleasure are Her rituals, we do not hold public orgies in the woods. There is a religious reason for those of use who practice skyclad, and most often these are closed gatherings.

We do not force people to love us.  People may choose to love us of their own free will.

We do not believe in the existence of a devil, hell or original sin.  A devil is a christian creation, a blasphemous corruption of the Pagan Horned God.  Banishment to "hell" and guilt over sins are scare tactics used by some for the purpose of control.  We as witches live the Rede, and when we cross over we go to a transitory place called Summerland. We accept death as part of the turning of the wheel.

Books are a good resource, but they are not means to an end. If you read a book and then call yourself a witch, it is meaningless. The more books you read, the more conflicting information you will get, so be prepared to supplement your reading with the wisdom of the elders, or a least a competent teacher of the craft.

Male witches are not called warlocks. Warlocks are oathbreakers. A male witch is a witch. A natural witch is a rarity. Do not call yourself a natural witch simply because your grandmother taught you how to make sassafras tea.

We do not make someone's hair fall out because they stole our partner. We do not turn people into toads. That would be harm, and we harm none.
