Ode To Kiron

Mounted on a jet black steed

You ride with the Guardian of the East

    Your cloak swaying in rhythm

    To Mother Earth's beat.

Today, as you cast your runes

    You spread sunlight over Gaia

Your partner returning to your side

Riding in tandem between the worlds.

You took your dreams with you

To the forest of Demeter and Kali

In deep velvet, you are the Green Man

The Horned God, Pan and Balder.

You visit every now and then

To share with us your equine joy

    Jumping balefires with upraised sword

You are the Emperor of the Circle.

You are again a man of power

Gone are the times of agony, loss and demise

You are strong and bold and fearless

In the Land of perpetual Summer.

Blessings to my brother, Nashoba for his vision upon which this poem is based
