The wheel continues to turn...
On
Samhein 1997 I met again with the forest, wiser and stronger, joining a
new circle and those who shared this rite of passage with me. I drank
wine from a shared chalice and drummed and chanted with wild abandon, bare
feet merging with sacred Earth. We spiralled around a bonfire, and Brigid
was among us as the embers danced to our rhythm.
I
rediscovered the divine within me, surrounding me, and within you,
my brothers and sisters of the
Craft.
I splashed childlike in muddy
waters that have borne witness to all that is.
I tasted the rain which fell
in torrents prior to our celebration.
I breathed frankincense, made
friends with ancient trees and met many cousins of Grandfather Oak.
I was indeed blessed with a
gift.
I
released the albatross and reclaimed my power.
I am free to fly, protected
by the wings of the Phoenix.
Among the flames I asked for
and received clarity. Native Ones appeared as they welcomed me onto their
land and shared wisdom.
I welcomed Native Ones into
my circle as I acknowledged the true desire within my soul.
I
find perfect joy in living in accordance with the Rede, practicing
ancient healing arts and appreciating the necessary polarity of those things
which I once perceived in rigid
shades of good or bad.
I am prepared to travel to a
plane where new mysteries shall be revealed.
I
journeyed to a new forest, connected yet separate on Samhein 1998.
I have suffered to learn many lessons as I journey along my path. I have
had to painfully close doors to allow portals to open. It was on this Samhein
that I learned to let go of those who have transcended this plane, threefold,
and with untarnished love. I have discovered my Self, practiced forgiveness,
embraced the darkness, and connected with a Lady whom I once ran from in
terror. I walked through the pain as I remembered the laughter, the
warmth, and the true devotion to those who meant so very much in so many
ways. Veils lifted and spirits soared, as we felt the presence of
those who chose to be with us on this night. A new animal guide arrived,
and I embraced the new brothers and sisters who were a part of this rite.
In becoming who I am, through endless hours of study, practice and energy, I have realized a dream. I will continue to share my knowledge with those who seek it, as the goddess has given me this ability. My journey will expand to be shared with those chosen by the Lady, those who touch my soul.
It is my wish that all of you
who seek will find this place of perfect love and perfect trust.
